AFTER an attempt to reopen despite being ordered to close by local officials, a resto bar received another closure order from the Cebu city government. AS OF Friday morning two presidential aspirants who filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) in the Commission on Elections (Comelec) have been accepted. Gilbert Garcia and Rigoberto Madera a.k.a. NNN have been accepted to run for president after completing their requirements, including their COC. Aside from Garcia and Madera, early birds who filed for COC are Gregorio "Manok" Samia, David Torralba Alimorong, Manny Lopez, Daniel Magtira, and Josefina Morillo.

ANGERED by Bakak Resto Bar's opening while the closure order is still in effect, Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña yesterday ordered the bar closed for an indefinite period. Osmeña said he has had enough of Bakak's violations of the City Liquor Ordinance, after learning that the bar still serves liquor to students under 21 years old during class hours.
